The feel of a mattress can change drastically in mere seconds, let alone minutes. This is particularly true dealing with different types of memory foams because of their response to heat. In addition to a warm mattress being difficult to sleep in (because we sleep better and deeper at cooler body temperatures) foams also soften with body heat. Even gel-infused memory foam (which is designed specifically to retain less body heat) isn't flawless in terms of the dissipation of heat. Copper-infused foam has proven to be better with temperature regulation and it also has a 'firming up' quality when weight is applied to it. Therefore, it's the one foam that we in the sleep product industry are aware of that keeps its feel almost identically, as you sleep on it.
